A Poll About Religion. I need your help!

Tue Jun 9, 2009, 9:21 PM
Hello, hello. So, I thought it would be neat if somone made a poll about which color people relate to a certain religion. So, if you'd like to participate in this poll, that's exactly what you're going to do. [woohoo!]
If you come to a religion that you do not know much about, let me encourage you do look it up and learn about it later, but this is just your first response. So if you know nothing about this religion or belief, then just say "no comment".

I ask that you all would keep the colors simple. No teal or blue-gray or anything. So, these are your options: brown, red, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, white, black, gray and pink. No other colors will be included in this survey.

I apologize if the following list does not include your religion. Please, feel free to mention it, and if it's mentioned early on enough, I will do my best to include it.

Islam:
Judaism:
Buddhism:
Paganism:
Wicca:
Taoism:
Shintoism:
Hinduism:
Scientology:
Atheism:
Agnosticism:
Christianity:

[EDIT] If you choose to participate, please leave an answer for ALL of the sections, or else I can not use your response.

Also, one last thing. If you would please make a note of which belief/religion you personally agree with, it would be much appreciated. If you would rather not comment to that question, simply say 'no comment'

thanks very much for participating in this survey.

Let's see...Yellow usually implies Asian (which I am) and that usually falls under "Buddishm" but since there's a whole bunch of Chinese Asians in the world, we can't all possibly be under just one religion, most of the Chinese Christians are Protestants (which is what I am) I think some may be Taoist, not sure though :hmm: so yellow can already fit into at least 3 categories (if my information source is correct)

Think your life sucks? A man was nailed through his hands and feet onto a tree. Before that he was whipped and wore a crown of thorns. He committed no crime, but his blood was used to pay for our sins. His name was Jesus Christ.

Hmm...this is an interesting concept. School assignment or just your personal interest?

Here's my answers, excuse all the comments:

Islam: Green
Judaism: Blue
Buddhism: Yellow (more gold actually, but that's not an option :XD:)
Paganism: Red
Wicca: Purple
Taoism: N/A
Shinto: N/A - I don't know enough about this and the above to really have an opinion.
Hinduism: Orange/Yellow
Scientology: Black (I don't even consider $cientology a religion, to be honest.)
Atheism: Pink
Agnosticism: Gray
Christianity: White

I'd probably say I identify as an Atheist, although I'm really just neutral on the whole religion-for-me issue...not Agnostic, just non-caring. =)

thanks for your reply and all, :] but I'm afraid I can't record that answer into actual results! So, if you want to participate you just have to do something like...:

Islam: Green
Judaism: Red
Buddhism: White

and so on. :] thanks very much though.

Wow, Jane. This is actually a pretty interesting poll. Alright, I'll supply my own answers:

Islam: Red
Judaism: Yellow
Buddhism: Orange
Paganism: Gray
Wicca: Purple
Taoism: White
Shintoism: No comment
Hinduism: Brown
Scientology: Green
Atheism: Black
Agnosticism: Pink
Christianity: Blue

As for the following question, I would say atheism naturally, but I don't technically consider it a belief system inasmuch as I don't consider bald as a hair color or not collecting stamps as a hobby. Nevertheless, I do agree with atheistic sentiments more than anything. And it's not listed here and maybe it's a little redundant for an atheist that has actually read up on and understands it, but perhaps LaVeyan Satanism as well. Perhaps you should've thrown in Pantheism and Deism as well?

The divine is God's concern; the human, man's. My concern is neither the divine nor the human, not the true, good, just, free, etc., but solely what is mine, and it is not a general one, but is -- unique, as I am unique. Nothing is more to me than myself!
:iconjanette4211:
I FORGOT SATANISM! How dare I!? I mean okay, Pantheism and Deism I could've left out. But how could I forgot Satanism! lol...

-sigh-

too late now though, I have 16 responses, and I can't get them all to vote again.. tut

Hey, if you want to post this elsewhere, or ask some of your freinds, that would be great. I really plan on getting a lot of answers. but only if you like! :]

It's quite alright. I think it'd be important to differentiate between theistic Satanism and LaVeyan Satanism if you were to do so, however.

I suppose you should just put Yellow under Buddhism :confused: cuz' I can't think of anything else ^^;

Oh, well.. I'm afraid I can't submit your reply at all then. But that's okay! thanks for your reply once more.
